This is a region on the rise—authentic and idiosyncratic, with fascinating landscapes of (still) untouched nature, with passionate farmers and winemakers. You will live in a remote hamlet in the middle of nature, hike through special landscapes, and meet people who will let you look behind the scenes of how they produce food. Journey to this remote corner of France, land of the Occitans! In the small, charming Hotel La Palombe, any worries will quickly melt away. Situated in the middle of nature, peace and relaxation are guaranteed. In the late afternoon, you will get to know your tour guide Bert and your fellow travellers over an aperitif before you experience your first dinner together in the Languedoc.

Dinner with a winery owner

Today, you will hike with Bert to the Cirque de Navacelles in the wonderful karst area around Navacelles along the Vis River. See gorges carved deep into the limestone, waterfalls, and huge valley basins. On your way there, you’ll stop at the vineyards of the Domaine de Ferrussac. Get to know the owner, Renaud, and his vines. After the hike, Renaud will show you around his winery and cattle farm, offering you a taste of several interesting wines and other local products. In the evening, Renaud accompanies you to a local restaurant, where you can continue to philosophize with him and your fellow travellers about life, the Languedoc, and the joie de vivre.

Today, Bert will take you to a sheep and goat cheese producer in Lazarc. With homemade bread, you will taste a variety of wonderful cheeses. In the afternoon, we go to the other side of the Parc Naturel des Grands Causses to Roquefort. To understand the myth of Roquefort cheese, visit both a commercial and a small producer, both of whom will teach you the history of the most famous blue cheese. For dinner, linger at the small producer’s and enjoy the atmosphere.

Dinner in a “gourmet cafeteria”

In the morning, go on a leisurely hike with Bert around the Lac du Salgou near the accommodation, followed by a picnic in a landscape to unwind. In the afternoon, we head towards Montpellier to a wonderful olive oil domain, where the Billet family lives and has been working organically for years. In the evening, visit one of the two capitals of the Languedoc: Montpellier. Bert will guide you through the alleys and reveal a few secrets before taking you to the Gambetta district, where there is now a restaurant that describes itself as a “gourmet cafeteria”, with food from the weekly market.

Eating oysters with the oyster-catchers

Today, Sète is on your program. Take a water taxi to the city centre, where Bert shows you around the weekly market and tells you some interesting culinary stories. After a typical market snack, visit a historic vermouth manufacturer in the area, where you will learn many fascinating things. Then, head to an oyster farm and meet Mathieu, who will share interesting stories and delicious oysters to snack on. And because there can never be enough oysters, Bert invites you to dinner at a kind of oyster fishermen's clubhouse, Le Cercle. Enjoy the atmosphere and the people!

Cooking course with a former star chef

Start the day with the small Cirque de Moureze hike, where you can stroll between stone sculptures created by nature. You'll spend lunch in the area before enjoying a short break at your accommodation. In the late afternoon, Christian Ravinel awaits you with a cooking class in Langue d’Oc. After you've finished your work, you can take off your aprons and take a seat at the table to try your own creations for dinner. Bon appétit, or better—bon apetís!

Herbology with a young entrepreneur

Today, Bert will introduce you to the herbal, pharmaceutical, and perfume culture of Montpellier. You will also meet an innovative young entrepreneur, Guillaume, owner of the company Flor en Thym. Guillaume describes himself as a collector and environmentalist, and gathers, processes, and markets spices and medicinal plants, all completely organically. In the afternoon, visit André and Quentin at the Chateau Cazaneuve winery, for good conversation, wine, and olive oil. From the winery, you will hike one last time through the wonderful Languedoc landscape on your way to dinner. Chef Vera will prepare a colourful, seasonal Occitan farewell dinner to remember your culinary journey to Languedoc.

Single Room Supplement

When booking online, you can choose the option "share room (if possible)". If no other participant chooses this option, you will be accommodated in a single room. The cost of the single room is EUR 400 and Feast will in that case pay 50% of the single room supplement, the rest will need to be covered by you. Treten Sie als Reisender vor Reisebeginn zurück oder tritt er die Reise nicht an, so verliert Ventura den Anspruch auf den Reisepreis. Stattdessen kann Ventura eine angemessene Entschädigung vom Reisenden verlangen. Dies gilt nicht, sofern der Rücktritt von Ventura zu vertreten ist oder wenn am Bestimmungsort oder in dessen unmittelbarer Nähe unvermeidbare, außergewöhnliche Umstände auftreten, die die Durchführung der Pauschalreise oder die Beförderung von Personen an den Bestimmungsort erheblich beeinträchtigen; Umstände sind unvermeidbar und außergewöhnlich, wenn sie nicht der Kontrolle derjenigen Vertragspartei unterliegen, die sich hierauf beruft, und sich ihre Folgen auch dann nicht hätten vermeiden lassen, wenn alle zumutbaren Vorkehrungen getroffen worden wären.

Ventura hat diesen ihm zustehenden Entschädigungsanspruch in den nachfolgenden Stornopauschalen festgelegt. Die Berechnung erfolgt unter Berücksichtigung des Zeitpunktes des vom Reisenden erklärten Rücktritts bis zum vertraglich vereinbarten Reisebeginn, der zu erwartenden Ersparnis von Aufwendungen und den zu erwartenden Erwerb durch eine anderweitige Verwendung der Reiseleistungen. Die Entschädigung wird nach dem Zeitpunkt des Zugangs der Rücktrittserklärung bei Ventura oder dem Reisemittler wie folgt berechnet:

a) allgemeine Stornopauschale (in Prozent des Reisepreises):

Für Buchungen im Reisetarif CLASSIC: bis 65 Tage vor Reiseantritt 20% ab dem 64. bis 30. Tag vor Reiseantritt 25% ab dem 29. bis 15. Tag vor Reiseantritt 45% ab dem 14. bis 7. Tag vor Reiseantritt 60% ab dem 6. Tag vor Reiseantritt 80% am Tag des Reiseantritts und bei Nichterscheinen 90%

Für Buchungen im Reisetarif FLEXI: bis 65 Tage vor Reiseantritt 0% ab dem 64. bis zum 45. Tag vor Reiseantritt 10% ab dem 44. bis zum 30. Tag vor Reiseantritt 20% ab 29 Tagen vor Abflug sind die Stornogebühren identisch mit denen des Tarifs CLASSIC

b) besondere Stornopauschale:

Sonderangebote/Specials, individuell ausgearbeitete Pauschalreisen sowie Gruppenreisen können besonderen Stornierungsbedingungen unterliegen, auf die in der jeweiligen Leistungsbeschreibung bzw. Reiseausschreibung/Angebot und der Reisebestätigung nach Art. 250 §§ 3, 6 EGBGB ausdrücklich hingewiesen wird.

Ventura behält sich vor, anstelle der vorstehenden Stornopauschalen eine höhere, konkret berechnete Entschädigung zu fordern, soweit Ventura das Entstehen wesentlich höherer Aufwendungen als die jeweils anwendbare Stornopauschale nachweisen kann.

Unsere Reisen richten sich nicht spezifisch an Menschen mit eingeschränkter Beweglichkeit. Wir bitten Sie daher, uns zu kontaktieren, um detaillierte Informationen zu erhalten und eine mögliche Teilnahme, angepasst an Ihre Bedürfnisse, zu besprechen.

Wir raten dir, eine Reiserücktrittsversicherung abzuschließen, da es immer vorkommen kann, dass du kurz vor dem Abreisetermin aufgrund einer unvorhergesehenen Krankheit, eines Unfalls oder aus anderen Gründen nicht in der Lage bist, die Reise anzutreten.
