Sicily: Syracusan Delights - 7 Days

Wir haben die Reise von Anfang bis Ende genossen. Das Programm ist sehr gut organisiert und sehr abwechslungsreich. In den 6 Tagen, die wir insgesamt in Sizilien unterwegs waren, haben wir die Region gut kennengelernt. Mit unserer 10-köpfigen Reisegruppe hatten wir großes Glück - wir haben uns mit allen gut verstanden, eine schöne Zeit zusammen verbracht und sehr viel gelacht. Die beiden Wanderungen mit Fabio und der gesamten Gruppe mit Badepausen und abendlichem Festmahl bei ihm zu Hause gehören mit zu den schönsten Erlebnissen. Das Highlight der Reise war Reiseleiterin Monika, die uns mit ihrer Begeisterung für Sizilien und Italien einfach angesteckt hat, sich um alles gekümmert hat, tolle Locations mit rausgesucht hat und das Ganze zu einem besonders schönen Erlebnis gemacht hat.

Der tatsächliche Ablauf der Reise war exakt so wie in der Beschreibung angekündigt. Die Mischung aus sportlicher und kulinarischer Betätigung war optimal. Die Termine (Uhrzeiten) waren sehr gut aufeinander abgestimmt, so dass nie Hektik aufkam. Dass unsere Reise insgesamt ein absolutes Highlight war, verdanken wir unserem Reiseleiter Domenico: überragende Deutschkenntnisse, verlässlich pünktliche Transfers, perfekte kulinarische Versorgung und Auswahl sowohl im Hotel als auch unterwegs, Eingehen auf persönliche Wünsche und fundierte Kenntnisse der besuchten Orte und Wanderwege. Die Anzahl von 8 Teilnehmern war perfekt.

Eine wunderschöne Reise zusammen mit tollen Menschen, faszinierender Natur, freundlichen Menschen, die uns Ihre Produkte mit Herzblut gezeigt haben und tollem Essen. Allen voran unser Reiseleiter Mimo, der uns mit ganz viel Herz durch seine Heimat begleitet hat. Als letztes Highlight hatte ich einen sehr engagieren Taxifahrer bei der Rückreise nach Neapel. Er hat eine besonders schöne Route über die Monte Lattari gewählt und unterhalten haben wir uns über ein Handyübersetzungsprogramm, das war sehr lustig.

Generell: Ich schätze bei Sapio, dass ich zu ausgesuchten Produzenten (Kräuterkunde, Mozarella, Wein, Olivenöl, Zitronen) geführt und nicht auf ausgetrampelte Touristenpfade geschickt werde. Ich habe die Kocherlebnisse, die Verpflegung in Agritourismi und und die Picknicks auf den Wanderungen (organisiert vom Reiseleiter) genossen. Bewertung Reiseleitung: Benchmark für mich ist die Reiseleitung vom letzten Mal (Tiziana in Trieste), der ich die vollen fünf Sterne gegeben habe.

Best travel season

In general, spring and fall showcase pleasant weather throughout much of the country, offering optimal conditions for outdoor excursions and cultural immersions.

Summer brings warmth to the coastal regions, perfect for beach vacations and seaside exploration, while inland areas may experience higher temperatures.

However, coastal destinations can become busy during the peak summer months as locals and visitors flock to the shores.

For a quieter experience and to avoid crowds, consider visiting during the shoulder seasons when the weather is still inviting, and tourist attractions are less congested. These times allow for a more relaxed pace to indulge in Portugal's culinary delights, from savoring freshly caught seafood to sampling regional specialties, all without the rush of peak tourist periods.
